The solar system used to be sprawling with interstellar life, but the Great Cataclysm could never have been anticipated. All systems went dark. Entire civilizations were lost. Everything and everyone has fallen apart.

It is now your mission to rebuild the once vibrant solar system into a new civilization, and reclaim what was lost.

Built from scratch in Rust by a solo developer (that's me, Dave!), Stella Nova unravels as a living universe where you are the builder, the fighter, the politician. You will take helm of the reconstruction of a spacefaring civilization. This is a unique space colony simulator experience set in an infinite procedurally-generated universe.

  • Stella Nova features a living and breathing universe with thousands of dynamic objects visible and adhering to real n-body orbital physics. A unique aspect of the rendering engine built from scratch is that the player has control over the flow of time, dilating and compressing the flow of time at will.
• Complex Modular Station Construction
  • Create stations which are little factories that you will develop to automatically manufacture resources, with the help of your citizens, that is :)
• Colony Management
  • Assign citizens to attend to various tasks to support the wellbeing of your colony. You just give them an assignment, and they do the work!
• Emergent Storytelling 
  • Featuring an emergent storyteller that creates events in-game based on the status of your colony to drive the story forward!
• Interplanetary Travel
  • Work with real orbital mechanics and physics in order to fly interplanetary distances on crafts powered by your citizens. Manufacture fuel and expand your civilization across the solar system
